On December 11, 2022, Stamford International University’s (STIU) 23rd graduation ceremony was successfully held at IMPACT Arena Mungthong Thani, Bangkok’s largest international convention centre. The Commencement was attended by approximately 1,400 graduates of both bachelor and postgraduate programs from 46 nationalities, together with their parents and friends who supported them during these four years. The graduates wearing graduation gowns rhythmically walked to the centre of the stage and proudly received their hard-earned diplomas. Thailand’s TV5 and TV9 stations produced special reports on the occasion.
The honourable H.E., Mr Evgeny Tomikhin, attended the impressive commencement exercise. It is worth mentioning the presence of the dignitaries Ambassador of Russia to Thailand & Permanent Representative of UNESCAP and his Second Secretary, Mr Vladimir Kim, H.E. Mr Mohammed Abdul Hye, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Thailand, Mr Ganesh Prasad Dhakal, Ambassador of Nepal to Thailand, so on and so forth. The great occasion also featured nine outstanding alumni who have gone to great lengths to make their marks in many areas.

The nine alumni who have made outstanding contributions to society are as follows in no particular order:

It was a memorable and thrilling moment when the heads of each department led the entry session, followed by flowers and applauses. The degree conferral ceremony, one of the most significant events in the graduates’ life, was welcomed by their loved ones with pride and joy.
Miss Supranational 2019, Antonia Porsild received her diploma from the Acting President of Stamford International University, Dr Apitep Saekow.
The Acting Vice President of the Academics, Colin Pinto, stated in the commencement address:
“You will always be part of Stamford International University. Your alma mater will forever be your solid support system from now on; whether you are planning to continue your studies, enter the workforce, or launch your own business, your power and resources come from the countless distinguished STIU graduates, where the door will always be accessible for you. So please stay in contact with your alma mater no matter what happens.”
Completing a degree is a great milestone in life that greatly impacts one’s worldview. After several years of university life, learners are equipped with the knowledge and skills required by the industries. As the graduates were about to leave their alma mater, they were excited and enthusiastic, ready to embark and conquer a new chapter in their lives.
